Option 1: Download the XLSTAT add-on statistical software for Mac and use it in Excel 2011. There are a few third-party add-ins that provide Analysis ToolPak functionality for Excel 2011. I can't find the Analysis ToolPak in Excel for Mac 2011 Now the Data Analysis command is available on the Data tab. If you get a prompt that the Analysis ToolPak is not currently installed on your computer, click Yes to install it.
If Analysis ToolPak is not listed in the Add-Ins available box, click Browse to locate it.
In the Add-Ins available box, select the Analysis ToolPak check box, and then click OK. Load the Analysis ToolPak in Excel for MacĬlick the Tools menu, and then click Excel Add-ins. The ToolPak displays in English when your language is not supported. See Supported languages for more information. Some languages aren't supported by the Analysis ToolPak. Since XLSTAT was first developed in 1993, we've been completely rewriting or reengineering the code 6 times. I've been coding since the early 80s, and one of the fun part of coding is for me making better and faster code. Software is sometimes more like a volcano. behind that: bad coding or coding using unmature environments.
My company uses a CRM software, and when we've upgraded to the newest version a few weeks ago, some of my colleagues saw their computers slowing down dramatically. Of course this is not a law as a physicist would understand it. The Gates law, which is a variant of Wirth's law (named after swiss computer scientist Niklaus Wirth), states that the speed of software halves every 18 months. Since then, after a few decades of being right, the Moore law has stopped being a law. I didn't see any justification for an unlimited power improvement. As a scientist, I was troubled the first time I heard about it, as for me a law was something that at least experiences could not contradict, and at best a demonstration could prove. Everyone heard of the (Andrew) Moore's law (computing power of computers doubles every two years).
